About the position

Hire Resolve’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of South African Automation Engineers to work in Joure, Netherlands. Please note that visa and sponsorship assistance provided. The successful candidates will be responsible for the technical heart of our production: the process network and the underlying control systems. To manage, modify and develop PLC and SCADA systems, support complex malfunctions and play an important role in the continuous improvement of our processes.

 

Responsibilities:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on process installations
• Analyze faults in control and visualization systems and implement improvements
• Supporting the breakdown service with complex technical issues
• Writing and adapting (partial) software for PLC/SCADA systems
• On-site software commissioning (FAT/SAT)
• Drafting and maintaining functional and technical documentation
• Guiding and supporting suppliers in the field of process automation
• Actively participate in multidisciplinary project teams

 

Requirements:

• HBO work and thinking level, preferably in the direction of Industrial Automation
• Millwright Trade Test or Instrumentation Technician Trade Test
• Matric / NQF 4
• South African Drivers’ License
• Experience with PLC and SCADA systems such as Siemens, ABB, iFix, but also software such as SQL and VMware are not unknown to you
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
• Insight into production processes
• Independent working attitude with good cooperation and communication skills
• Analytical skills and a proactive attitude
• Familiar with quality and safety systems
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, German is a plus.
