A leading, innovative manufacturing company specializing in high-performance thermoplastics is seeking an experienced Automation Electrician to join their fast-paced production team. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical, electronic, and automated machinery across the production plant.
- PLC & Control Systems: Program, test, and perform fault-finding on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), and SCADA systems.
- Preventative Upkeep: Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- System Upgrades: Assist with installation, commissioning, and optimization of new automated thermoplastic processing equipment.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electrical work strictly adheres to occupational health and safety standards and industry regulations.
Key Requirements- Trade Test: Qualified Industrial Electrician Trade Test (Section 13 or Section 26D).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ post-trade experience working in an automated manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in fault-finding on automated control panels, PLCs, pneumatic systems, and sensor technology.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience within thermoplastics, plastics, or heavy manufacturing is highly advantageous.
- Attributes: Excellent analytical problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure in a continuous production setup.
