About the position
Our client is looking for an Audio/ Visual/structure network cabling support Services for 12 months starting
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (NQF 4)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for running and producing reports,
- 5 years of experience in advanced structured network cabling (Certificate level and above advan[1]tageous)
- Computer literate
- Audio Visual certifications advantageous
Below are the activities we require done:
- Testing and repairing ethernet cabling when they occur within the CLIENT offices. o
Needs to understand the different cabling standards & limitations.
- Troubleshooting fiber cabling issues understand the different fibre standards.
- Take charge of all audio visual services in all boardrooms & Auditorium which includes the fol[1]lowing:
- Maintaining our MS Teams Rooms Video Conferencing Units in Longmeadow, Cape Town & Dur[1]ban. · Ensuring the MS Teams Rooms Video Conferencing Units have the latest patches installed from Microsoft.
- Supporting CLIENT users when required to operate the MS Teams video conferencing units.
- Maintaining all the data center as per the CLIENT policy
- Maintaining the network hub rooms and infrastructure as per CLIENT policy.
- Packaging and shipping of all infrastructure equipment & materials to all CLIENT SSA countries
- Supporting Sub Saharan Africa countries with infrastructure installation, as per the CLIENT standard
- Sourcing infrastructure equipment via Service NOW tool
- See that quotations for any infrastructure equipment have taken place with the suppliers.
- Supervising the vendors working onsite that they adhere to the CLIENT standards.
- Collecting and documenting all infrastructure old assets and ensure that they are disposed correctly.
- Services to be provided 8hrs during working days
- Weekend overtime when required.
- Be on standby every second month.
NOTE: Role requires lot of travelling, must have passport
