Responsibilities:
Contract Drafting & Review:
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex construction and commercial contracts.
- Ensure all contracts are legally compliant, commercially sound, and aligned with client requirements.
- Interpret and advise on contractual obligations, terms, and potential risks.
Legal Advisory & Risk Management:
- Provide strategic legal counsel relating to contractual disputes and risk mitigation.
- Support clients with legal interpretations and dispute-related matters within the construction sector.
Project & Client Management:
- Manage legal matters and projects from inception to completion while ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients through effective communication and service delivery.
- Collaborate with partners and junior staff to ensure seamless client service and efficient matter management.
General:
- Work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Uphold the firm's ethical standards and commitment to excellence in all aspects of work.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years post-admission / post-qualification experience (PQE) within a legal practice environment.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience in Contract Law is essential.
Experience in Construction Law, including exposure to JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, and GCC contracts, will be advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
