Our Client is looking for a Assistant Wine Studio Manager to join their team

The Assistant Wine Studio Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the Wine Studio. This role is ideal for a strong leader with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of managing both floor and administrative duties.
Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Manager on Duty when the Wine Studio Manager is unavailable, overseeing all aspects of the Wine Studio's operations.
- Handle guest complaints and challenges promptly, escalating when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provide assistance, constructive feedback, and training to hosts and other staff members as needed.
- Ensure all staff report for duty punctually, are well-groomed, and in the correct uniform.
- Maintain the Wine Studio and its contents in clean and good repair, reporting maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Perform daily stock checks, order stock as needed, and update inventory on the Commerce 7 system.
- Effectively manage and reconcile float.
- Be proficient in the POS/Booking/Shipping system, responsible for end-of-day procedures, guest settlements, voids, discounts, corrections, and adjustments.
- Ensure accurate daily cash-ups and investigate or escalate any discrepancies to management.
- Assist with the coordination of courier collections, ensuring all orders are packed and ready for dispatch.
- Order wines, gas for the fireplace, promotional items, cleaning supplies, collaterals, argon, and other necessary items.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
Experience and Skills:
- Matric Certificate
- WSET Level 2 qualification (preferred)
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a winery, restaurant, or similar environment
- Preference will be given to candidates from Franschhoek and neighbouring areas

- Commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience
- Proficiency in Inventory Management and point-of-sale systems (Comm7 is a plus)
