About the position
The Assistant Librarian Contractor position, in the Library and Archives Unit, is for a period of 6 months. The total cost of basic salary per month is R10 000,00. The closing date for applications will be Friday, 12 August 2022. To assist the Librarian and Senior Librarian with effective management/functioning of the SAHRA library, as well as support to core business activities.

Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
A valid Code EB (08) driver's license will be an added advantage.
Computer literacy with regard to the use of Excel, Word and Power Point, experience using InMagic will be an added advantage.
