Assistant Financial Manager

About the position

Large, Multinational Engineering Firm requires a diligent, no nonsense, proactive and bright Lady, who will be the right-hand to a busy, talented Head of Finance. You will manage a Team of 3 Junior Finance Clerks, who need mentoring and upskilling, but who are willing to learn and grow. This will also require putting in new Processes and Procedures and improving efficiencies using Excel. On a monthly basis, a detailed Management Pack needs to be produced, which will include Cashflow, Fixed Asset Register, Monthly VAT Returns. Understanding Revenue Recognition and Sub-Consulting Accounting is also key.
As this position offers growth, preparing AFS on Caseware is another nice to have! The fabulous thing about this position are the people you work with, because they are wonderful!

BCom (Hons) NOT NEGOTIABLE
At least 5 years' Accounting Experience managing Junior Staff
Accounting exposure must include:

• Accounting and understanding IFRS
• Monthly Reporting
• Deadline Management
• Tax and other Regulatory knowledge
• AFS preparation

Excellent ERP and Excel knowledge
Caseware
No job hopping and fantastic references
