Growing Retail Company seeking a dynamic Accountant to join a growing team.
The role will be responsible for the full financial function of the company which include maintenance of data in the accounting system ensuring accuracy of information, preparation of monthly management of accounts including analysis of financial data. In addition; budgeting and forecasting, tax compliance, and cash flow forecasting, as well as managing relationships with the external auditors.
Overview of the job:

• Responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger transactions, including debtors, creditors, and cashbook, journal entries.
• Responsible for the month end reconciliation process of all the general ledger accounts.
• Ensuring accurate accounting of divisional OPEX & project budget allocations and monitoring expenditure.
• Analyse financial information and prepare monthly management accounts compared to budget.
• Strong Excel skills for analysis financial data for presentation to key stakeholders.
• Analyse project costing and ensure accuracy of allocations to various projects.
• Develop and maintain financials models to support decision-making.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, GL analysis, and journal entries.
• Handle payment requisitions and releases.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks with attention to detail.

MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• University Degree in B Com Accounting (Hons) or equivalent work experience.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Accounting to Financial Statements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES:

• IFRS.
• Risk Management incl. credit control.
• IQ Retail or other ERP system.
• SARS e-Filing.
• Advanced Excel skills
