ASSISTANT FINANCIAL MANAGER at Rhodes Food Group

About the position

Introduction

This position will report to the Head of Group Finance. Key responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy, validity and completeness of management and financial accounting records and reports.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the following:

• Ensure that all monthly financial management reports are prepared accurately and on time.
• Review of month-end management accounts ensuring the accuracy, validity and completeness thereof.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and corporate policies and ensure that entries are recorded in compliance with the policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare financial statements of subsidiary companies.
• Ensure that the fixed asset expenditure and commissioning procedures are adhered to.
• Assist with credit card portal maintenance.
• Stay up to date with IFRS standards and all accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Stay up to date with SA taxation legislation and SARS practice notes.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Our ideal candidate must have:

• BCom Accounting Degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Good working knowledge of the following software: Syspro, TM1 Perspectives and Excel.
