ASSISTANT ENGINEER'S REPRESENTATIVE
Location: Eastern Cape, South Africa
Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based
Remuneration: R40 000/00 - R55 000.00

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A Civil Engineering qualification from a recognised tertiary institution
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Eng Tech / Pr Eng Technologist) (Mandatory)
• A minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in road maintenance and/or road construction projects
• NQF Level 5 Labour-Based Construction Training (mandatory)
• Proven experience in the supervision, monitoring and execution of labour-based road works
• Must be willing and able to work full-time on site in the Eastern Cape
• Ability to be deployed full-time for the duration of the contract

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineer in administering and supervising road maintenance and construction contracts
• Ensure compliance with contract documentation, specifications and quality standards
• Monitor contractor performance, labour-based methods and site progress
• Prepare site reports, measurements and documentation as required
• Liaise with contractors, stakeholders and the Engineer on site-related mattersPreference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
