About the position

  • Assist with the coordination ofengagement activities with media organisations to promote DSI programmes, projects and events.a) Media coverage of activities of the DSI and other stakeholders in the [URL Removed] Maintain and update the media database for the distribution and publication of media statements and media invites. b) Up to date media database.c) Assist in organising meeting logistics to conduct media briefings and media engagements.c) Meeting logistics for media briefing and engagements arrangedd) Facilitate liaison with communication officials in other government departments, research institutions and science councilabout the DSI opportunities.d) Informed Departmental officials, and NSI of opportunities within the DSI. e) Request information for the development of communication strategies, advisories and press releases.e) Information for the development of communication strategies, advisories and press releases requested and coordinated f) Develop and manage WhatsApp/Telegram group for mediaf) Realtime communication with media

About The Employer:

- NQF level 6 qualification in Media studies/ Communication/ Journalism / Business Communication.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in drafting media plans for special events or projects.a)
