About the position
Purpose
To provide secretariat and logistical support in the Office of the Director-General.
Key Result Areas
- Provision of secretariat support services for executive meetings
- Logistical support for executive meetings
- Coordination of ODG Unit meetings and planning sessions
- Distribution of external Cabinet memos and coordination of Minister's Cabinet briefing notes
- Providing admin support
- Document and information management
Competency Requirements
Knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of government processes
- Knowledge of organising, planning, executing and monitoring projects
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures
- Knowledge of secretariat support services
- Understanding of Minimum Information Security Standards.

Qualifications and Experience
- A three-year national diploma or degree (NQF level 6) in office management, public administration, management or business management or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2-3 years' work experience in secretariat support services, administration environment and records management.
