About the position
Our client is on the lookout for an Assistant Accountant, a pivotal role that contributes to the financial heartbeat of the organization. This position offers the opportunity to engage with various accounting functions, ensuring the precise execution of financial tasks and providing invaluable support to the financial decision-making process.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the month-end closing procedures, ensuring all journal entries are recorded promptly.
- Craft and refine standard operating procedures for accounting practices to enhance clarity and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Guarantee the integrity of financial data through meticulous reconciliations.
- Lend expertise during audits to achieve timely and successful completions.
- Aid internal auditors to uphold corporate governance standards.
- Generate and deliver insightful reports to management, aiding strategic decisions.
- Contribute to year-end closing activities and support external auditors to meet regulatory demands.
- Collaborate with the Reporting team for monthly financial analyses.
- Support the Finance team by aiding the administrative aspects of the logistical supply chain.
Requirements:
- A BCom Accounting Degree or an equivalent qualification is essential.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred, with a background in Financial Accounting being highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Experience with ERP Systems, particularly Microsoft AX Dynamics.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional administration, organization, and analytical skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated accountability, attention to detail, and client-centricity.
- Proven initiative, integrity, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
