Artwork Packaging Coordinator / Manager - Meat And Food Processing Plastics Packaging Industry

About the position

A well-known and established meat and food processing plastics packaging manufacturing company requires the above to provide commercial and operational support to the manufacturing and sales teams by coordinating, liaising with customers, principals and colleagues and handling all artwork for various packaging supplied into the meat and food processing manufacturing markets ensuring that customers expectations are met at all times.
Minimum requirements for the role:

•  A diploma in packaging technology or related is preferred for the role.
• Previous experience having worked in an artwork packaging role within a manufacturing or distribution company is essential.
• Previous experience having worked within the plastics packaging or printing or flexographic printing or artwork house or related manufacturing environment (packaging/FMCG/chemical or related) is preferred but not essential.
• Must have a good understanding of artwork within a manufacturing or related environment.
• Previous experience having liaised with the REPRO Houses that does all their artwork is preferred.
• The person must be attentive to detail and be able to sign off on all artwork within a manufacturing environment is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Provide commercial and operational support to the manufacturing and sales teams by coordinating, liaising with customers, principals and colleagues and handling all artwork for various packaging supplied into the meat and food processing manufacturing markets ensuring that customers expectations are met at all times.
• Coordinate and manage printing on casing – shrink-wrap as well as maintaining all projects within customer portfolio.
• Liaising with agencies coordinating and following up with all packaging development, marketing, branding etc.
• Coordinating all designs flexo printable, DTP, etc. And liaising and coordinating press approvals.
• Coordinating designs for packaging, liaising with technical, production and REPRO teams and customers.
• Ensure that artwork is set up as per customer specifications and dispatching samples and artwork to customers for final approval.
• Attend technical meetings with the production team.
• Work closely with REPRO department.
• Ensure stock is delivered to customer to correct specifications and delivered on time.
• Accountable for managing and coordinating the flow of artwork and the effective scheduling of briefs with clients to facilitate the on-time delivery of exceptional printing and packaging.
• Identify, plan and coordinate various packaging needs of clients.
• Examine new artwork and technically assess print-ability, machine, and process attainability of all elements of packaging.
