Description
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT DEPARTMENT OF OPERATIONS AND ICT ARTISAN PLUMBER: FACILITIES (P10) PERMANENT Ref: WSU-KOM/2025/07Key performance areas:

• Must carry out instructions received from line manager with regards to repairs and maintenance. 
• Carry out new installations and replacements. 
• Repairs and maintains water piping, soil waste and vent piping for all plumbing fixtures. 
• Service urinals and flush masters and water reticulation systems. 
• Installs plumbing piping systems as well as piping revisions for remodeling and additions to the various buildings of the campus. 
• To assist and train the assistance in all aspects of maintenance/repairs. 
• Ensure all tools and university equipment are well looked after. 
• To assist as and required in laying out any venue for special functions as and when required.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:

• National-N-Diploma (NQF Level 5) in Civil Engineering plus Trade Test in Plumbing or National Diploma/Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Building (NQF Level 6)
• Driving License will be an added advantage 

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience working as Plumber (Internship experience will also be recognised)
• Trainee Plumber in an Academic Institution will be a huge advantage
• Knowledge of relevant system software’s
