About the position

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Assist the engineering department with maintenance related requirements and repair work on the
• The candidate will be reporting to the Coordinator (Engineering) for operational and functional duties.
• The successful candidate should be able to work independently from time to time
• Adhering to good safe work procedures and PPE requirements.
• Ensuring good safety performance.
• Report any safety related issues to the Coordinator (Engineering).
• Ensuring achievement of sustainable production targets through executing delegated tasks.
• Assisting with conducted daily maintenance tasks (scheduled and unscheduled).
• Assisting with installations, repairs and maintenance of equipment, according to standards.
• Complying with scheduled tasks.
• Ensuring general housekeeping is in order.

Desired Experience & Qualification

About you:

• Grade 12 with Maths & Science or Technical matric.
• Full N2 Certificate (One subject being theory).
• Valid Trade Test Certificate.
• 3 years relevant experience in a Mechanical environment.
• Good knowledge of HSEC systems.
• Computer Literate (MS Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• SAP Knowledge & Coupa would be added advantage.
• Driver license and own transport.
• Possession of Code 10 driver's license to enable testing of trucks during inspections.
• Hydraulic training will be an advantage.
• Medically fit to work on surface, at heights and in confined spaces.
