Armed Reaction Officer

About the position

Introduction:
We are looking for a highly alert and reliable Armed Response Officer to join a fast-paced security team. The ideal candidate will have experience in tactical response and must be PSIRA registered with the appropriate firearm competency. This role requires quick thinking, sound judgment, and physical fitness.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) - Compulsory
• Valid Grade C PSIRA certification (Armed Response)
• Valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate
• Driver's license with a minimum of 1 year driving experience
• Previous armed response/reaction experience is essential
• Physically fit and mentally alert
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Clean criminal record
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly and professionally to alarm activations
• Conduct area patrols and on-site security checks
• Coordinate with the control room and follow dispatch protocols
• Complete accurate incident reports and logs
• Provide visible deterrence and quick response to security threats
• Operate within company and legal guidelines for armed operations
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients
