Area Manager - Water Treatment Chemicals

About the position

A well-known and established water treatment chemical company requires the above to manage senior key accounts within the boiler, cooling water, and effluent markets, providing them with solutions and water treatment chemicals.
Minimum requirements for the role:

• A tertiary qualification in chemical engineering or related qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience having sold water treatment chemicals into the boiler, cooling towers and effluent markets is essential for the role.
• Must have strong communication skills as well as strong computer skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing senior key accounts within the boiler, cooling water and effluent markets providing them with solutions and water treatment chemicals within the food and beverage, industrial, steel, mining etc markets.
• Preparing optimisation plans to improve processes on site.
• Conducting performance testing and reporting.
• Training operators on processes and applications and managing them on customer sites.
• Managing and developing accounts and driving projects within the food and beverage, industrial, steel etc industries.
• Managing and assisting clients with different product solutions and services while simultaneously seeking out various applications and water solutions.
• Monitoring market developments and various projects in order to identify and assess potential new customers and opportunities.
• Overseeing technical service and chemical trials at customer sites to maintain excellent customer relationships.
• Training customers on technical aspects and application of mining chemical products.
• Creating and executing project work plans and services as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Identifying opportunities for improvements and innovation for various projects within the different markets.
