Job Opportunity: Area Manager - Luxury/Beauty Retail (Nigeria)

Position: Area Manager
Location: Nigeria- Lagos based with infrequent trips to surrounding key cities e.g. Abuja, Port Harcourt etc.

About the Role: As an Area Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the continued success of our retail operations. You'll be responsible for overseeing key accounts, supporting the growth and performance of retail locations, and ensuring that brand standards are met. Your strategic mindset and strong communication skills will make you an asset in building strong relationships with both retailers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly review meetings with a focus on brand performance.
  • Write monthly and quarterly reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide expert consultation and advice at brand meetings, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Advise on stock management practices to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure Point of Sale (POS) excellence and maintain brand guidelines at retail locations.
  • Explore new business opportunities by opening new retail doors and expanding brand presence.
  • Support and help arrange travel logistics for the team.
  • Maintain accurate cash on hand reports and monitor sales targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth and innovation.
  • Support key account management, building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers.
  • Support customer relations efforts to enhance the overall shopping experience.
Must-Haves:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian retail market.
  • Proven experience in the luxury/beauty industry.
  • Strong background in Public Relations (PR) and Key Account Management.
  • Up to date with the latest digital trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Skills in Microsoft Office
  • Must be very well spoken and presented, elocution when dealing with colleagues from various backgrounds and nationalities is essential
Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in competitor analysis.
  • Expertise in merchandising and stock management.
Languages:

  • English is a must, all else is a bonus
