Architectural Draughtsman at Plan Vendor

About the position

At Plan Vendor, we're redefining how people access architectural design by offering ready-to-use, high-quality building plans online. Our platform is designed to serve homeowners, developers, and builders looking for efficient, well-detailed architectural solutions. We are looking for a detail-driven Architectural Draughtsman to join our team and help us grow our digital plan library.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adapt existing architectural drawings (from client projects or internal archives) into polished, sale-ready sets for the Plan Vendor online platform.
• Create new plan concepts and drawing sets that are suitable for various residential markets, based on identified trends and needs.
• Prepare professional drawing packages that include all necessary architectural documentation (floor plans, elevations, sections, basic details).
• Produce supporting visual content using Lumion and Photoshop to showcase the plans effectively on the website.
• Maintain quality and consistency across all plan sets, ensuring compliance with Plan Vendor's presentation standards.
• Organize and manage drawing files and project folders for efficient retrieval and updates.

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 years of architectural drafting experience, ideally with exposure to residential projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, with the ability to create clean, detailed and organized BIM models.
- Solid working knowledge of Lumion and Photoshop for presentation visuals.
- Strong understanding of architectural layouts, space planning, and construction principles.
- Ability to work independently and meet internal deadlines for content uploads.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with residential design trends in international markets and/or Southern Africa.
- Experience preparing plans for permitting or standardisation.
- Interest in modular, sustainable, or affordable housing design.
