About the position

ROLE DEFINITION / LOCATION: A Permanent Specialist Level Role in the Architectural Sector based in Johannesburg (Gauteng)

Role Overview: My Client is in search of a talented and motivated Architect to join a dynamic design team delivering innovative, high-quality architectural solutions across a range of projects. The successful incumbent will be involved in projects from concept to construction, producing high-quality designs, drawings, and documentation in line with client and project requirements. The role requires strong conceptual ability, technical expertise, and a solid understanding of building regulations and construction processes. Key Responsibilities will include: -

• Develop architectural concepts, designs, and detailed documentation across all project stages
• Produce and manage Revit models and BIM workflows
• Prepare presentations, drawings, and technical packs (concept through to construction)
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams
• Conduct site visits, attend meetings, and monitor project progress
• Ensure compliance with design standards, regulations, and project budgets
• Identify risks, challenges, and solutions throughout the design process
• Contribute to efficient project delivery and high-quality outputs

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
• Master's in Architecture (MArch) or Master's in Architectural Technology (MTech)
• 2-3 years post-qualification experience
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, BIM workflows, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience in site work and/or hospitality projects (advantageous)
• South African citizen or eligible to work in South Africa
• Valid passport
• Strong design and conceptual thinking skills
• Attention to detail and high-quality documentation standards
• Ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively
• Professional communication and client engagement skills
