Senior Product Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL and IMS environments to support the delivery of a range of optimization and strategic initiatives. The role will contribute directly to the enhancement and modernization of mainframe-based systems, particularly within the context of cryptography, EMV, and payment processing.

This position offers exposure to critical, high-performance systems and the opportunity to work with modern integration technologies as part of broader modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications in COBOL within an IMS environment.
• System Maintenance: Modify and enhance existing applications to improve performance, stability, and functionality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, system engineers, and business analysts to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues within mainframe applications and related infrastructure.
• Documentation: Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, code comments, and support manuals.
• Testing: Conduct unit, system, and integration testing to ensure high-quality releases.
• Deployment Support: Assist with deploying applications and changes into production environments.
• Modernization: Contribute to initiatives aimed at integrating legacy systems with modern technologies and frameworks.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years working in IBM Mainframe environments.
• Strong experience (5+ years) with COBOL programming, IMS databases, JCL, and Eazytrieve.
• At least 2 years working with payment systems, including understanding of EMV and cryptographic processes.
