About the position
Our client, a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty automatic transmissions is looking to appoint a Sales Engineer to join their team based in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
REQUIREMENTS:
- National diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field
- 3 - 5 years relevant work experience in the Mining and Power Oil & Gas industry is a key requirement
- Must have a valid drivers license and own vehicle.
- Sound experience in selling, negotiating and concluding commercial service agreements/ contracts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct product application audits at customer facilities.
- Financial Performance: Actual sales vs. projected sales.
- Quality of client call reports
- CRM data integrity i.e. accuracy of client information
- Sell and secure orders for engineered industrial products and product services to decision makers in the raw material, steel, power, oil and gas and related
- Research and analyse the market to understand key business drivers, influences, competitor activity and market potential in the mining & metals industry.
- Market share penetration (repeat business/ growth in existing business base)
Technical Competencies
- Sound understanding of Drivelines (Motor, Couplings, Gearboxes) used in heavy Industry
