About the position
Strong technical background in application and cloud-based infrastructure architecture.
Solid understanding of mining technical systems and operational technology.
Extensive experience in system integration, particularly between source systems and data reporting layers.
Comfortable operating in dynamic environments where requirements evolve.
Good understanding of the mining value chain and associated business processes.
Strong problem-solving capability, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
Act as the technical interface between vendors, business stakeholders, and infrastructure delivery teams to design and deliver robust solutions aligned to governance, standards, and architectural principles.
Lead solution design activities for business demands, including retrospective solutions, artefact creation, and verification.
Coordinate technical build activities during execution and delivery phases.
Own and facilitate the creation of technical documentation for service introduction and operational handover.
Provide technical guidance and issue resolution to project and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Support project planning and resourcing from a technical perspective.
Where appropriate, lead or support vendor-led sprints using agile delivery practices.
Minimum Requirements:
Education
Matric + University degree or equivalent, proven experience in Solution Architecture.
Experience in Data Architecture is desirable.
Relevant solution architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF, Microsoft Azure certifications).
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Solution Architecture
- Experience in Data Architecture
- Understanding of mining technical systems
