The Role: Apart Hotel Receptionist
As a Receptionist, youll be at the heart of the guest experience, ensuring every visitor feels welcome, supported, and delighted throughout their stay. From check-in to departure, youll provide professional, friendly service, coordinate with multiple teams, and help deliver seamless and memorable guest interactions. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys people, thrives in dynamic environments, and takes pride in making others feel at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding guest experiences and ensure high satisfaction at all times
- Welcome guests on arrival and provide smooth, efficient check-ins and check-outs
- Act as the first point of contact for all guest and client enquiries
- Answer emails, messages, and phone calls promptly and professionally
- Create and manage bookings, including handling payments accurately
- Coordinate concierges and assist with guest requests or unique experiences
- Liaise with internal teams including Guest Experience, Property Managers, and Operations
- Collaborate with your team daily to solve guest or operational challenges
About You
- 1 - 2 years of experience in hospitality, reception, or customer-facing roles (advantageous but not essential if you bring the right attitude)
- Based in Cape Town and available for shift work, including evenings and weekends
- Empathetic with strong emotional intelligence and a guest-first mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly observant and attentive to guest needs and non-verbal cues
- Tech-savvy, organized, and detail-oriented
- Calm under pressure, solutions-driven, and proactive in all situations
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- A strong team player who contributes to a positive, service-driven culture
