Senior AI Engineer – Flexible Resources Assignment
Midrand / Menlyn / Rosslyn / Home Office (Hybrid) | ? Contract: Nov 2025 – Dec 2028


Our client in the Motor Industry is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join their dynamic global IT team. This is your chance to work on cutting-edge AI, data engineering, and cloud solutions that power innovation across a world-leading brand.

RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into AI-driven solutions.


  • Design data pipelines and implement machine learning frameworks.


  • Build, deploy, and scale secure AWS cloud applications.


  • Develop and maintain high-quality custom software.


  • Define acceptance criteria, manage scope, and ensure delivery excellence.


  • Document system designs, APIs, and technical details.


  • Work as part of a global Agile team to deliver impactful solutions.


Essential Skills
  • Strong data engineering with Python, ETL, Kafka, Apache Spark.


  • AI/ML frameworks (e.g., Langchain, Langgraph, GAIA).


  • Frontend development (Angular/React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript).


  • Unit testing (pytest, Jest).


  • Hands-on AWS services: API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS.


  • Git & GitHub Actions (CI/CD).


  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.


Advantageous Skills
  • Passion for AI and LLM-based applications.


  • Problem-solving and adaptability across diverse tasks.


  • Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.


  • International collaboration experience.


  • AWS/Terraform certifications are a big plus!


Qualifications
  • Degree in IT, Business, or Engineering.


  • AWS or Hashicorp certifications highly beneficial.
