Agricultural Specialist: Workout & Restructuring

What You'll Be Doing

• Help struggling banking clients by creating innovative financial solutions to avoid losses and improve outcomes.
• Take charge of distressed accounts, investigate their financial health, and recommend action plans.
• Work with internal teams (credit, legal, collections, banking) to understand the client's position and guide restructuring processes.
• Negotiate new deals and help put together new loan or equity agreements that support recovery.
• Monitor progress after deals are made to ensure things are improving as planned.
• Provide expert advice to other teams on warning signs and how to handle high-risk clients.
• Attend key meetings and contribute insights into how to turn around or rescue struggling businesses.

Who We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

A degree in Business, Agriculture, or Commerce (e.g. BCom).

3-5 years of banking or finance experience, including:

Structuring financial deals

Working with agricultural or commercial clients

Credit and financial analysis

Business turnarounds or restructures

You're a Great Fit If You:

• Understand how to rescue distressed clients

• Are confident with financial analysis and credit risk

• Know how to build and negotiate fair but firm deals

• Can work with lawyers, analysts, and clients to get results

• Are comfortable managing multiple cases at once

• Communicate clearly and professionally

Skills You'll Need

• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

• Good grasp of legal processes and deal structuring

• Ability to think strategically under pressure

• Experience with turnaround plans and client performance monitoring

• Familiarity with business finance, restructuring, or recovery
