IT Agile Coach
N.B: Must have led multiple teams, mature and the ability to manage large areas and communicate to a very strong leadership team

- Has coached or work at scale - not just 1 or 2 teams
A) Core Skills
Systems thinking and flow optimisation
- Proven experience analysing end-to-end delivery systems.
- Strong understanding of flow efficiency vs utilisation, WIP limits, queues, batching, and decision latency.
- Hands-on experience with value stream mapping and improvement experimentation.
- Demonstrated improvement in lead time, predictability, throughput, or WIP health across multiple teams.
ART / Multi-team delivery experience
- Experience operating in large, multi-team delivery environments.
- Comfortable working across Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, and Leadership.
- Clear judgement on where team-level coaching ends and system-level enablement begins.
Facilitation and influence without authority
- Expert facilitation of complex, cross-role workshops.
- Ability to surface conflict safely and convert discussions into decisions and action.
- Strong presence with senior leaders and technical stakeholders.
Psychological safety and change leadership
- Practical experience improving psychological safety across teams or organisations.
- Comfortable coaching leaders, not only teams.
- Able to identify and address fear-based behaviours and low-trust environments.
Data, tooling, and metrics
- Strong delivery data literacy across flow metrics and variability.
- Advanced working knowledge of Jira, Target Process, or equivalent.
- Ability to design dashboards and usage patterns that support decision-making.
Practical AI Enablement
- Experience embedding AI into delivery workflows.
- Understanding of governance, guardrails, and adoption patterns versus AI theatre.
- Focus on enablement, not solution ownership.
Relational (soft) Skills (Required)
- High emotional intelligence and strong conflict navigation capability
- Coaching mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively
- Strong synthesis and structured communication skills
- Ability to influence without authority and align diverse stakeholders
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and complexity
Strongly Preferred
- Engineering or technical delivery background
- Experience in large digital commerce or platform environments
- Operational excellence or constraint theory exposure
- SAFe SPC, RTE, or senior Scrum Master experience
- Proven track record improving delivery systems at scale
B) Qualifications
Essential
Agile certification, ideally one or more of:
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
- Formal change management experience (practical application, not theoretical exposure).
Essential Experience
- 6+ years' experience in a senior Agile Coaching / system-level enablement role, with demonstrated impact across: IT delivery teams/Business stakeholders/People managers and senior leaders
- Deep, hands-on experience across multiple agile frameworks, including: SAFe/Scrum/Kanban/XP/Lean/Design Thinking/DevOps
- Proven ability to drive change at scale, beyond team-level coaching, influencing: Multi-team / ART-level systems/Leadership behaviours/Delivery decision environments
Preferred Experience
- Operating in large, complex, multi-team delivery environments,
- Demonstrated success improving delivery system outcomes
- Experience coaching leaders, not only teams, especially in Psychological safety/Conflict handling
- Advanced practical experience with delivery tooling, such as Jira/Targetprocess/Or equivalent ART-level tooling
- Experience embedding AI into delivery workflows
Desired
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology/Or a closely related field
