Core Purpose
The Admissions and Selections Administrator ensures that the main objectives of the Admissions and Selections
Department are met, which is to provide clear guidelines and regulations as prescribed by the regulatory bodies (CHE,
DHET and SAQA) for the recruitment, admission and selection of prospective students, both nationally and
internationally, and to advance the strategic objectives of MANCOSA.
Duties & Responsibilities
Core Functions
- Receiving, resolving and providing responses to admission and selection queries from all regions, including Honoris Education Network and SADC regions
- Schedule, send out agenda and write minutes of meetings where necessary
- Compiling of all reports
- Organising departmental files
- Ensuring that assigned applications are reviewed as per the Admissions and Selections Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Checklist, HEQSF and Policy
- Ensuring that relevant IT systems (currently CRM and SIS) are used to review applications as per the Admissions and Selections SOP, Checklist and Policy
- Reviewing applications for candidates who are eligible for the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy, alternate programmes and the awarding of credits, mature age and disability tracking.
- Ensure Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) statistics do not go above 10% per Programme
- Liaise with the relevant subject matter expert wrt credits and exemption applications
- Update the internal and external Credit Accumulation and Transfer (CAT) Structure

Qualification(s)
• Diploma/Degree (or intention to study towards a Diploma/Degree)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a deadline-driven and process-oriented role

Additional Requirements:
