About the position

Postion Summary:
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our International Grants and Partnerships unit as an Administrative Officer (AA): Science Networks. As an AA you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the programme and facilitating its success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing general administrative support such as answering calls, responding to emails, and managing calendars
  • Organizing and scheduling meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements for the team
  • Maintaining office supplies
  • Maintaining grant files and records, ensuring compliance with grant requirements
  • Work with relevant sections to track grant deadlines and milestones
  • Assisting in the management of partnerships with other organizations or institutions
  • Coordinating meetings, calls, and events related to partnerships
  • Maintaining contact lists and databases of partner organizations
  • Assisting in the management of databases related to grants, partnerships, and other relevant information
  • Compiling and organizing data for reporting purposes
  • Coordinating internal and external communications related to Science Networks and Research Links
  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with finance policies and reporting requirements

Minimum Qualification:
  • Diploma / Advanced Certificate / NQF 6

Minimum Experience:
  • 3-5 years
  • Post Matric Qualification
  • Degree added advantage
  • Proven administrative experience, ideally within a research or academic environment

  • Grants management: proficiency in managing grant cycles, processing applications, adhering to funding regulations
