About the position
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the Agricultural department services in Piet Retief. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with strong organizational skills and a solid background in financial administration and people management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Matric / Grade 12 (minimum requirement)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline
- 5–7 years’ proven experience in an administrative or office management role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with AS400 and/or AGRIS systems (advantageous)
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans (advantageous)
- Valid Code 08 Driver’s License
- Willingness to travel as required
- Must be based in, or open to relocating to, Piet Retief
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all administrative functions across the operations.
- Oversee accurate processing of transactions including invoicing, sales, stock records, and credit notes.
- Manage office resources, supplies, and administrative tools to ensure optimal usage.
- Monitor key operational and financial metrics; compile regular reports for senior management.
- Supervise a multi-site administrative team, providing coaching, performance reviews, and training.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve administrative systems, processes, and policies.
- Ensure effective internal and external communication and maintain document control standards.
- Provide input into the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Track expenses and contribute to cost efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Support internal audits and risk management processes.
- Assist in the coordination of projects and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Drive continuous improvement aligned with divisional and company objectives.
