The role of the Accounts Payable Specialist involves providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization. All accounts payable data to be collated and processed in a confidential and timely manner, with prompt and accurate processing of disbursements to vendors.

Duties and responsibilities:

• As a vital team member of the finance team, duties includes, but are not limited to the following:
• Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices received and creditors statements
• Reconciling accounts payable and processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Maintaining creditors ageing analysis as well as historical records
• Performing daily banking activities and accurately allocating payments to vendor accounts
• Generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance
• Management of all Petty Cash related claims
• Preparing of documentation to be submitted to SARB for all Foreign Related Payments

Minimum Education and experience:

• National Diploma in Finance Field
• SAP experience
• 2 Years previous experience in similar role

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Requires a high degree of accuracy
• Must possess excellent data entry skills
• Must be detail oriented but also be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must have excellent oral communication
• Must be able to work well with others and meet strict deadlines
