Accounts Payable Specialist

About the position

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Book value R300m with about 100 invoices per day
• Reconcile Trade Creditors statement to JDE sub ledger
• Reconcile Municipal and Coal accounts
• Navigate and trouble shoot automated process (Readsoft and Perceptive)
• Liaise with procurement and operations department
• Understanding of a 3-way match process
• Prepare payments as approved
• Adherence to policies and procedures
• Maintain beneficiary details in th ERP
• Preparing payment forecast
• Prepare foreign payments
• Supply details of accruals at month-end
• Assist auditors with information on request
• Compile monthly, quarterly and annual stats
• General financial modelling and analytical tasks

REQUIREMENTS:

• Recognised tertiary bookkeeping qualification or equivalent
• At leat 2 years AP experience in a Mining or Manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of JD Edwards preferable but not essential
• Advanced Excel skills - pivot tables, VLookups, sum-ifs
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with an automated procure to pay system
• Must be able to work in a high pressure environment similar to mining
