Accounts Payable Clerk

About the position

We are in search of a detail-oriented and highly efficient Accounts Payable Clerk to become a valued member of our team. The perfect candidate should possess prior experience in accounts payable tasks. This role demands someone who excels in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely payments, all while upholding meticulous attention to detail throughout their duties.
Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices received from vendors, verify accuracy, and ensure proper coding and approval
• Prepare and process payments, such as checks, electronic transfers, in a timely manner
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice inquiries, payment status, and resolution of discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and vendor information
• Assist accounts payable managers or senior staff with ad hoc tasks, such as report preparation, data entry, and reconciliation

Requirements:

• Previous experience in accounts payable
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience as an AP Clerk
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office suite
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
