Accounts Payable Accountant

About the position

Our client, a well-established and ever-growing Security Equipment Supplier, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join their Finance Team in the heart of Randburg.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting abilities, advanced Excel proficiency, and proven experience working with macros to support process efficiency and accuracy.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Perform complex vendor account reconciliations (local and foreign)
• Investigate, resolve, and document high-level reconciling items and aged queries
• Manage and reconcile vendor contracts and settlements
• Generate monthly recon tracking schedules
• Oversee the clearing of GR/IR accounts and ensure timely matching of goods receipts to invoices
• Review and capture non-standard expenses such as debit orders, credit card statements, and recurring expenses (e.g., rentals, fuel)
• Manage and process one-time vendor transactions; ensure timely clearing of open items
• Prepare consumption reports, capture settlement of consignment stock and update pricing on SAP
