About the position
Our client is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join their team as an Accounts Manager. The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial transactions and accounting activities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree specialising in subject like Maths, Accounting, Finance or Economics.
- A formal qualification in Accounting (Graduate) and other qualifications in aspects of business would be a benefit.
- Thorough knowledge of Syspro V8, Excel, Word, VIP Payroll, Microsoft Office, Outlook.
Experience
- Experience working with Syspro +/- 5 years
- At least 5 years of experience in finance-related positions, such as financial analyst or accountant.
- Experience working in a Manufacturing Company will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, including invoicing, billing, and collections.
- Reconcile financial statements, bank accounts, and other financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive business decisions.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and enhance team performance.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices, implementing updates as needed to maintain compliance and optimize financial processes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
