About the position
A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Accounting and Reporting Deputy to support the Head of Accounting & Reporting across a complex multi-entity Shared Services environment. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep technical accounting expertise, strong financial control experience, and the ability to engage confidently with auditors and senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- NQF Level 7 qualification in Accounting or Finance
- CA(SA) qualification is mandatory
- Minimum 7+ years' post-qualification experience
- Proven experience in Shared Services environments
- Strong IFRS and technical accounting expertise
- Mandatory SAP and finance automation tool experience
- Experience managing audits, financial reporting, and annual financial statements across multiple entities
- Strong financial control, balance sheet assurance, and intercompany reconciliation experience
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, annual, and statutory reporting processes
- Lead annual financial statement preparation and audit engagements
- Partner with external auditors and ensure audit readiness
- Drive financial governance, controls, and reporting quality
- Support complex accounting activities, including IFRS compliance, lease accounting, and intercompany transactions
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
