About the position
Our client is seeking a Reporting Accountant to deliver accurate, insightful, and timely financial reports that drive strategic decision-making at both local and group levels.
This role is ideal for a technically strong accountant with a keen eye for detail, who thrives under deadlines and is eager to contribute to process improvements.

Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance (BCom Accounting or equivalent).
- Completed Articles (SAICA / SAIPA) preferred.
- Strong Excel and ERP systems experience (SAP experience advantageous).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and group consolidation.
- Analyse financial results, variances, and trends, providing insights and recommendations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies.
- Support the external audit process by preparing audit files and responding to auditor queries.
- Maintain the integrity of financial data within the ERP system and ensure reconciliations are up to date.
- Draft statutory financial statements and ensure timely submissions.
- Liaise with group finance and provide required reporting packs.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives in the reporting function.
