About the position
Our Client, an established FMCG manufacturing business is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to take ownership of management accounting and cost accounting functions within a high volume production environment.
This role is suited to a commercially minded finance professional with strong stock, costing and BOM exposure in manufacturing. The position requires a hands on approach, strong systems capability and the ability to partner with operations to drive performance and cost optimisation.
This is a senior finance role with strong operational exposure. The successful candidate will partner closely with factory, procurement and commercial teams to ensure accurate costing, margin protection and inventory control.

Minimum Requirments:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant CA SA
- BCom Accounting or BCom Management Accounting
- Minimum 5 years experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and corporate governance
The Role:
Management Accounting
- Lead monthly stock take processes across site and depots
- Ensure stock accuracy across all storage locations
- Review margin analysis and inventory valuations
- Oversee Bill of Materials administration and costing accuracy
- Manage Work in Progress and investigate job variances
- Conduct purchase price variance reviews and engage with procurement
- Implement and monitor internal controls
- Maintain audit ready documentation for external audits
- Set and manage KPIs for the finance team
Cost Accounting
- Perform accurate product costings and scenario planning
- Conduct BOM audits and manage recipe changes
- Analyse production costs and recommend improvements
- Calculate overhead contributions
- Support annual pricing strategies
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Operations, Sales and Procurement
- Provide financial insight to senior management
- Support strategic decision making through financial analysis
- Liaise with auditors and external advisors
