Description / Synopsis
An established international agriculture business is seeking a high-calibre Accountant to join its Johannesburg-based finance team. Join a growing international business offering exposure to group finance, cross-border operations and long-term progression [URL Removed] closely with senior finance leadership, the incumbent will play a meaningful role in supporting both South African and East African operations while building the technical and commercial skills required for future advancement.

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification
  
  
• Completed articles advantageous
  
  
• 3 - 5 years accounting experience
  
  
• Strong financial reporting and month-end exposure
  
  
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  
  
• Sage Evolution experience advantageous
  
  
• Exposure to manufacturing, stock or cost accounting advantageous
  
  
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a deadline-driven environment
  
  

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
  
  
• Preparation and review of journals, accruals and reconciliations
  
  
• Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
  
  
• Assist with group reporting requirements and multi-entity finance activities
  
  
• Support accounting and reporting requirements across international operations
  
  
• Assist with inventory, stock and manufacturing accounting processes
  
  
• Work closely with the Financial Controller on operational and commercial finance matters
  
  
• Support audit processes and internal control requirements
  
  
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
