About the position
Are you an experienced Accountant looking for your next career move? We are currently partnering with a client, based in Cape Town CBD, to recruit an Accountant to take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting and financial administration of the business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working across debtors, creditors, stock, reconciliations, payments and month-end accounting, while supporting the broader operational needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer invoicing and debtors management
- Collections and resolving customer account queries
- Supplier invoice processing and creditors reconciliations
- Preparing payment runs and supporting documentation
- Bank allocations and reconciliations
- Stock reconciliations and variance investigations
- Fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Month-end close assistance
- Audit, tax and statutory submission support
- General financial and operational administration
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- CA / CIMA / SAIPA qualification will be highly advantageous
- 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- Experience working on an ERP system
