Opportunity for an Accountant
A well-established and fast-paced manufacturing business is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accounting professional who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of the full accounting function while partnering closely with operations and management.  The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, reconciliations, payroll oversight, and financial analysis while managing deadlines in a high-volume environment.

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Compile annual financial statements and supporting working papers
• Manage VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and provisional tax submissions
• Handle SARS queries, audits, and compliance matters
• Oversee payroll processes and statutory compliance
• Manage supplier and debtor portfolios, including ageing reports

 
Education and experience:

• BCom Accounting
• 2–3 years experience in a similar role
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous
