Accountant

About the position

A well-established and growing company based in Durbanville, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team.
Accountant – Durbanville, Cape Town

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full accounting function, including general ledger and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Handle VAT submissions and ensure compliance with SARS regulations
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable
• Support audits and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping
• Maintain internal controls and improve financial processes

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Completed articles (SAIPA / SAICA advantageous)
• 3–5 years’ relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of South African tax and VAT regulations
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel, or similar)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• High attention to detail and strong analytical ability
