About the position
Accountant
Area: Middelburg, Mpumalanga
Salary R60000 CTC P/M
A leading multinational operation in Middelburg is seeking a commercially strong Accountant to manage the full finance function across two sites and partner closely with operations and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly management accounts and cost analysis per site
- Budget vs actual reporting and variance analysis
- Weekly, quarterly & rolling forecasts (Hyperion Planning)
- Cash flow management, AR tracking & Capex reporting
- Full month-end close and reconciliations
- VAT201 submissions & statutory reporting
- Intercompany invoicing and audit support
- Inventory counts and Capex reconciliations
- Supplier payment reviews (incl. international)
- Provide financial insights to support operational strategy
Requirements
- BCom Degree / Honours
- 4 years commercial experience
- IFRS / US GAAP knowledge
- Forecasting & controlling experience essential
- Advanced Excel
- ERP experience advantageous (JD Edwards, Oracle, Hyperion)
- Strong analytical and commercial skills
- Able to work in a high-pressure operational environment
- Valid driver's license
- Must be medically fit (operational site requirement)
