A well-established group of 4 companies based in Edenvale, servicing the construction, water, and sewer industries. are seeking an experienced Accountant with strong office administration skills.

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organised, multitask with ease and enjoys supporting both clients and internal teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

As an Accountant, you will be a key member of our finance team, responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and contributing to the overall financial health of the company. Key responsibilities include:

• Process monthly cashbook transactions and complete bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable: raise invoices, follow up on overdue amounts, and liaise directly with clients.
• Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
• Compile and submit monthly management reports.
• Support auditors during year-end preparations.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as required by your manager or departmental head.

 
Desired Experience & Qualification

• BCompt Accounting Degree (or equivalent).
• Completed Articles (SAICA/SAIPA).
• 8–10 years’ accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Sage Evolution Accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service ability.
• Own reliable transport.
