What You'll Bring:
- A degree in Accounting and 3-5 years' experience in the accounting space.
- Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting standards, including foreign currency transactions.
- Proficiency in Pastel and SAP.
What You'll Do:
- Data Entry & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Month-End & Year-End Close: Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Allocate payments, process forex invoices, maintain schedules, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Cashbook & Bank Reconciliations: Daily processing across multiple accounts and routine reconciliation.
- Fixed Asset Management: Oversee the asset register, depreciation, disposals, and compliance with IAS 16.
- Inventory Oversight: Liaise with warehouse teams to update and reconcile stock data in SAP.
- Process Improvement: Identify and suggest workflow improvements across finance tasks.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Support the finance team with reporting and project-based tasks as needed.
