Accountant

About the position

Our client, a well-established organisation within the retail and building materials industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Full Function Accountant to join their finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full accounting function up to trial balance, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Full accounting function up to Trial Balance
• General ledger management, journal processing, and account reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Fixed asset management and depreciation schedules
• Submission of statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, etc.)
• Liaison with external auditors and support during audits
• Assistance with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Requirements:

• Completed BCom Qualification is non-negotiable
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Excel skills must be strong
