Our client is a Dutch company expanding its international presence with the opening of a new office in Cape Town, are seeking a mid-level Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will manage the full scope of accounting administration, ensuring that financial administrations are organized and accurate. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the complete financial administration for clients based in the Netherlands.
• Ensure financial records are prepared and compilation-ready.
• Collaborate with the account manager to prepare financial statements.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, utilizing the necessary tools.
• Communicate directly with colleagues in the Netherlands regarding client accounting matters.
• Process client data efficiently and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.

Required Experience and Skills:

• University degree with minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in an accounting firm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Entities).
• Eagerness to understand Dutch accounting rules (similar to IFRS).
• Affinity for automation in accounting processes.
• Proficiency in Afrikaans is preferred.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new systems.
• Full-time in office.
