About the position
DUR002084 – Accountant - Roodepoort
Purpose of the job:
To ensure the accurate recording, reconciliation, and analysis of financial transactions, as well as providing support in various accounting tasks such as payroll processing, tax preparation, and financial reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree / diploma in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Technical Competencies and responsibilities
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an accounting role.
- Proven experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Efficiently record and organize bank statements to ensure accurate financial records.
- Maintain precise journals and perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare comprehensive trial balances to facilitate financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist in tax preparation processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate in the preparation of management accounts to provide insights into business performance.
