About the position

Key responsibilities of the position

• Preparing and maintaining financial records and documents accurately and timeously;
• Responsibility for accounting processes and tasks
• Co-ordinating and liaising with internal stakeholders
• Monitoring and analysing financial data;
• Preparing/assisting with the preparation of financial and departmental reports/budgets/annual financial statements;
• Assisting with the preparation of company taxes; and
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines affecting the finances of the company.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Post Graduate Diploma or Honours in Accounting
• At least 3-5 years' work experience in a similar role in the financial sector.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, and an advantage if able to work with Hyperion, Financial Management (HFM), and Great Plains.
